About the Artist

My name is Wolf Whitney and I am a sculptor who works primarily in wood and stone. I was born on the small island of Barbados and moved to the America, where I joined the Army. After serving, I relocated to Vermont, where I found my artistic calling.

Having studied furniture making at the Vermont woodworking school I realized quickly that I had a deep passion for carving wood, which also evolved into stone sculpting as a preferred medium. My art is deeply rooted in my pagan spirituality and I create pieces that reflect those traditions.

My artwork is a tribute to my gods and an oath to my clients. The direction of Wandering Wolf Studio is ever changing but that is the nature of the wanderer.

About the Artist

Wolf Whitney is a multi-disciplinary contemporary artist and sculptor. Her work focuses heavily on the influences of ritual and the natural world.

After leaving active duty in the U.S Army she moved to Vermont to pursue a simple life. Little did she know that this move would inspire her to start creating art. Surrounded by rolling fields and granite mountains, Wolf became enamored with the idea of creating by destroying. The duality of creation and her twin destruction. Sculpture in any material is simply that, removal of pieces of raw material to recreate something beautiful. This is also true of her wood burning art, using fire and heat to draw on wood.

As a practicing heathen a lot of her work is centered around pagan themes and as she puts it, "Each piece I create is in honor to the gods and an oath to my customers."

Always looking for new means of expression Wolf is always available to chat with you about the art you want within your space.

"Art should change the entire energy within a room. It is an emotion, an idea and a memory." - Wolf Whitney
